Summary of Strategic Goals and Objectives
Goal 1: To empower parents to be better equipped to handle their parental responsibilities and more proactive and involved in addressing the risks that their children face.
1.1 Increase consistent participation in The Parent Network from an average of 15 to 40 1.2 Increase consistent participation in Families That Care to approximately 18 per cycle 1.3 Develop parenting program designed to meet needs of parents of children K-3rd grade. 1.4 Develop a Parent Information Series 1.5 Expand Parent Network activities throughout the summer 1.6 Expand web site capacity through linkages with GVSD and beyond
Goal 2: To empower youth to make positive choices through the continuation and expansion of responsive programming
2.1 Build PHY’s knowledge of youth programming throughout the school district 2.2 Develop middle school mentoring program to help with transition issues to middle school 2.3 Support continuation of CHARACTER COUNTS! program 2.4 Ensure responsiveness of programming through on-going assessment and evaluation activities 2.5 Continue to support and expand peer-to-peer programming including Positive I.D.
Goal 3: To build community’s knowledge and awareness of PHY ‘s role in addressing prevention in our community.
3.1 Build knowledge of PHY among the community 3.2 Assess and develop (as needed) PHY marketing materials 3.3 Increase marketing of PHY
Goal 4: To strengthen participation in, and leadership of, PHY
4.1 Build internal leadership and committee structure 4.2 Attract new membership for PHY 4.3 Strengthen relationships with various community entities who provide leadership and support to the efforts of PHY
Goal 5: To ensure PHY’s financial stability
5.1 To assess and project revenue needs for next X years and develop strategy to meet needs 5.2 Develop a special event strategy 5.3 Develop internal systems to support fund raising efforts
